WE BELIEVE IN THE GOSPEL
We believe that the Bible is God’s revelation to everyone. It is the inspired Word of God; without error or contradiction. It’s complete in revelation, absolute in content, and final in authority. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments constitute the Holy Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe in one living true & eternal God; the Creator & Preserver of all things; omnipresent, omnipotent & omniscient. He has always existed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
(John 17:3, Genesis 1:1, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe in the divine nature of Jesus Christ, God’s only Son. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit; born of the Virgin Mary; empowered by the Holy Spirit to minister. He lived a sinless life and through His death, burial and resurrection provided forgiveness of sin. He defeated Satan and sin, having disarmed his ruler-ship. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Colossians 2:15)
We believe man was created good and upright in the image of God. Because of Adam’s sin, humanity inherited a corrupt nature given to sinful behavior. Thus, every person is born separated from God and spiritually dead, without Christ. Every person has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23)
We believe that water baptism by immersion is commanded by God. It cannot save from sin, but is a public declaration of identification with Jesus Christ in His death, burial & resurrection. We believe in the sacrament of Holy Communion; by receiving the bread and cup, we remember what Jesus Christ did for us.
(Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:3-4)
We believe that spiritual gifts are for present-day ministry; given to every believer for the purpose of strengthening & extending the work of God. The leadership of the church is to equip the congregation for ministry in accordance with how the Holy Spirit through God’s sovereignty has distributed gifts to each person.
(Romans 12:5-8, Ephesians 4:11-16, Ephesians 4:3)
We believe there will be the final resurrection of both the saved and the lost for the final judgment. There will be eternal punishment for those who reject Christ & eternal life with God for those who accepted Him as Savior. (John 5:28-29, Matthew 25:41)
